I love bracing walks along the everchanging coastlines. There is always drama in the sky and often a magnetic brightness. The weather is so visual, the sea and tides so moody. The environment is grand scale and an exciting landscape to be part of.

I enjoy the physicality of painting. It is a very draining experience, even working on small pieces. Using colour intuitively and lyrically creates passages of emotive energy bringing the place, the picture, to life.

Each paintings’ conclusion is always a surprise.
